STRATIGRAPHIC SUBDIVISION AND DISTINCTION OF PRIMARY ROCK-TYPES OF THE TAIHUA GROUP IN THE XIAO QINLING MOUNTAINS

    • In this paper, according to the results of 1: 10,000-scale regional geological section measurements and 1: 100, 000-scale geological map compilation of the Xiao Qinling gold field, the Taihua Group in the Xiao Qinling Mountains is divided into five stratigraphic units: Puyu Formation, Huanchiyu Formation, Lujiayu Formation, Guanyintang Formation and Qiangmayu Formation. Through regional observations and petrochemical diagrams, the primary rock-types are distinguished and lithofacies is analysed, and these five formations are assigned to the upper and lower Taihua cycles of Archean age.
