NEW LITHOSTRATIGRAPHIC UNITS ESTABLISHED IN FUJIAN PROVINCE

Through sorting stratigraphic units of Fujian province,it is proposed that 17 new lithostratigraphic units be established except for the Quaternary, of which 15 are formal formation-rank units and 2 are formal member-rank units.From older to younger they are the Taoxi Rock formation , Baoshi Formation,Huangtan Formation,Pandi Formation,Sanxizhai Formation,Longtou Formation,Yanya Formation,Qingying Formation,Quanshang Forma-tion,Luokeng Formation,Ezhai Formation,Chishui Formation,Huangkeng Formation,Zhuxia Formation,Chong’- an Formation,Shibixi Mudstone Member and Lantian Limestone Member.
