DYNAMICS OF CENOZOIC VOLCANISM AND ITS ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECT IN THE CHANGBAI MOUNTAIN AREA, NORTHEAST CHINA

In the paper the authors preliminarily summarize the characteristics of Cenozoic volcanism in the Changbai Mountain area, NE China, and discusses the dynamic features of magma during its ascent and eruption. On the basis of the amount of volcanic rocks combined with the results of the laser Raman spectrum analysis of fluid inclusions in the volcanic rocks, the total amount of the eruptive materials is calculated and the environmental effect produced by volcanic eruption is discussed.
