SOME PROBLEMS ON THE BASIC GEOLOGY IN JILIN PROVINCE

In ten years（1984- 1993）since the compilation of the" Regional Geology of JilinProvince" ,voluminous data have been obtained by means of using new theories and techniquesin 1:50000 giological mapping, reconnaissance and mineral prospecting and thernatic studies. On the basis of these data,this paper mainly discusses the tectonic division in Jilin province andits tectonic setting in Northeast Asia and the Archean,Proterozoic and Phanerozoic geology andgranites,collision zones and intraplate nappe structure in the province, and new ideas are pro-posed.
