BASIC CHARACTERISTICS OF THE DUPANGLING GRANITE IN GUANGXI

The formation of the Dupangling granite in the northeastern part of Guangxi Province experienced the Late Caledonian, Indosinian and Early Yanshanian stages. It occurs as a composite batholith. Its distribution is obviously controlled by folds and faults. From west to east it consists of three granite bodies of different ages, namely, γ₃~3, γ₅~1 and γ₅~2. The fine-grained muscovite gzanite formed by the third magmatic pulsation in the Early Yanshanian is rich in Sn and W, so shows promise in ore prospecting.
