Abstract
The formation of the Dupangling granite in the northeastern part of Guangxi Province experienced the Late Caledonian, Indosinian and Early Yanshanian stages. It occurs as a composite batholith. Its distribution is obviously controlled by folds and faults. From west to east it consists of three granite bodies of different ages, namely, γ3~3, γ5~1 and γ5~2. The fine-grained muscovite gzanite formed by the third magmatic pulsation in the Early Yanshanian is rich in Sn and W, so shows promise in ore prospecting.
