EXTENSIONAL STRUCTURE AND THE XINGZI METAMORPHIC CORE COMPLEX IN THE LUSHAN AREA, JIANGXI

    • Extensional structure in the Lushan area,Jiangxi,is one of the typical systematic structural features of the Meso-Cenozoic structural deformation. It is characterized by vertical layering, lateral zoning and ordering of spatial structural organization. Among other things theXingzi polyphase composite metamorphic core complex, Fuchuanshan detachment window,Zhulingshan thrust outlier and normal fault grouping in covers and fossil Poyang Lake basinare the forms of manifestation of extensional structure in different spatial loci. This papermainly deals with the features of the above-mentioned representative structural forms, analyzes the kinematic and dynamic features of extensional deformation and the formation ageand regional tectonic setting in the area and puts forward an exploratory idea of the nstrikeextensional tectonic system".
