  • By means of a lot of regional geological survey data and methods of fault basin analysis, as well as the correlation of the stratigraphic sections in the Wutai Mountain area, the authors consider that the Doucun Subgroup and Dongye Subgroup of the Hutuo Group and the Qidongshan Formation of Xizhou Mountain show relations of lateral facies changes, and the Guojiazhai Subgroup formed after them. In this paper, through studying the distribution characteristics of the basin boundary faults, the authors tentatively put forward a Paleoproterozoic lithostratigraphic framework of the area, and analyze the developmental history of the Paleoproterozoic aulacogen.
