ThestudyonZhailivolcanicrockinthecenterofJiangxiisanimportantbasicgeologi calquestion .Thereexistmanyviewsonitscharacteristicsandage.Themarinevolcanicrockof TiandongFormationofTantouGroupofearlyQingbaikouperiodinUpperProterozoic,andthe LandvolcanicrockofChangpuFormationofYutianGroupinLateJurassicinMesozoicErawere foundinthepreviousZhailivolcanicrock ,andU Pbisotopedatingfromzirconofwhichyields agesof （1 0 2 7± 3 6）Ma,＞（99.4± 3 .2 ）Ma ,respectively .
