  • According to the requirements of the Project“Multiple Stratigraphic Division and Correlation of Hainan Province”,the authors have conducted a detailed study of the sections of Shimengoucun and Shimacun,made a new classification of volcanic rocks in the vicinity of Penglai and established two new formations the Miocene Shimacun Formation and Pliocene Shimengoucun Formation and discussed their petrological features,ages and relations to mineralization.
