    NEW ADVANCE IN THE STUDY OF THE JIAYUQIAO GROUP IN THE NUJIANG BRIDGE BAMDA AREA,BAXOI,EASTERN TIBET

    • Abundant fossils have been found in the Jiayuqiao Group in the Nujiang Bridge Bamda area,Baxoi,eastern Tibet.They include the brachiopods:Neospirifer,Syringothyris?Asyrinxia and Spirifer;conodonts:Palmatodella delicutula,palmatolepis gracilis sigmoidalis,Spathognathodus cf.stabilis and Polygnathus purus;spores:Leigatosporites,Vulgaris,Crassispora trychera,Sulcatisporites ovatus,Limitisporites and Leiotriletes.In addition,there are also lamellibranchs and gastropods. The above mentioned fossils were first discovered in the Nujiang Bridge Bamda area,Baxoi.They are of important significance for the subdivision of the Jiayuqiao Group.
