NEW RECOGNITION ON THE GENESIS OF THE XUZHOU-SUOXIAN ARCUATE STRUCTURE

According to the data of regional geological surveys,it is suggested that the Xuzhou-Suoxian arcuate structure is an arcuate thrust-fracture belt,It may be divided into three zones:the frontal thrust zone,the central nappe zone and the rear extensional zone.The three zones display a model of extension in the east and compression in the west.This belt is the product of gravitational gliding of the covers along the basement.
