Abstract
Volcanism lasted from the late Triassic to early Cretaceous in the mid southern Daxinganling and reached its peak at the late Cretaceous. This gave rise to several series of volcanic associations that are representative of four volcanic eruption sedimentation cycles:the early Triassic, early mid Jurassic, late Jurassic and early Cretaceous. The volcanism and associated intrusion were controlled by extensional mechanism, resulting in the present paired volcanic intrusive belts.
