SOME CHARACTERISTICS OF STRATABOUND GOLD DEPOSITS IN THE EASTERN QINLING MOUNTAINS

    • The Eastern Qinling Mountains are located in the eastern part of the long-active and structurally complex Qinling latitudinal fold-fault belt. There, gold deposits(or mineralizations)occur in groups and zones, deposit types are many, orebodies are strictly controlled by strata and lithology, and source beds are numerous and widespread. The metallogenic epochs are mainly Caledonian and, subordinately, Yanshanian. The ore-forming processes are intimately related to structural and magmatic activity.Mineralization exhibits distinct inheritance and rejuvenation. Most of the deposits obviously show the stratabound character as well as some of the their own peculiar features.
