LATEST PERMINA TO EARLY TRIASSIC LITHOSTRATIGRAPHIC FRAMEWORK IN PUQI,HUBEI

The late Late Permian to Early Triassic strata in Fenghuang Mountain and JingquanMountain,Puqi,Hubei,may be divided into three sequences :sequence II of late Late Permian toearly Early Triassic age,sequence I of middle Early Triassic age and sequence II of late EarlyTriassic age. The sequence division is in agreement with that of the contemporaneous strata inthe Great Basin,Colorado,United States,made by Marzolf in 1993.
