POLYPHASE FOLDING OF SUPRACRUSTAL SEQUENCES IN THE DABIE COMPLEX IN NORTHEASTERN HUBEI

    • The supracrustal sequences in the Dabie complex in northeastern Hubei belongs to a late Archean stratified metamorphic sequences. By means of intensive analysis of the fold structure, four phases of fold deformation have been recognized. The principal structure is a large-scale Ramsay II-type superimposed fold. Besides, two major ductile shear zones have been recognized. They played an important role in the formation of the structural framework in the area.
