    • Metavolcanic rocks in the Baoban Group in the central part of Hainan Island have a Sm-Nd isochron age of 975+8.6 and a U-Pb concordia age of 1401+23 Ma. It is preliminarily considered that the Baoban Group is a flysch volcanic-sedimentary formation of Middle Proterozoic age, which is a component part of Cathaysia.
