METAMORPHIC PETROLOGY AND METAMORPHISM OF THE FOZILING GROUP IN NOTHERN HUAIYANG AND ITS AGE

The Foziling Group is one of the widespread stratigraphic units in northern Huaiyang,Themain rock types of the group are arkosite,fine-grained quartzite,glaucophane-bearing quartzschist,and quartz-bearing dolomitic marble. The metamorphic age of the group is 378±24 Ma.The metamorphic minerals include glaucophane,garnet, biotite and muscovite. The metamor-phic temperature calculated with the garnet-biotite mineral pair is about 520℃ and the pressureis 0.3 0.5 GPa.
