MICROFOSSIL PLANTS IN METAMORPHOSED VOLCANIC SEDIMENTARY ROCK SERIES AT YELE, MIANNING, SICHUAN

    • Microfossil plants, including 11 genera, were first found in metamorphosed volcanic sedimentary rock series of the Yele metamorphosed complex in the central sector of the Kangdian (Xikang Yunnan) axis on the western margin of the Yangtze platform, and their age has been determined to be Meso and Neoproterozoic Jixianian Qingbaikouan. This provides evidence for the division and assignment of the rock series and confirms the existence of the folded basement.
