THE FEATURES OF THE MICROFLORA IN SHUANGQIAOSHAN GROUP IN THE DAGANG AREA,DUCHANG COUNTY,JIANGXI PROVINCE

    • Proterozoic low grade metamorphic rock series is well developed in the Dagang area,Duchang County, northern Jiangxi. The Shuangqiaoshan Group in its lower part containsabundant microflora fossils, represented by Asperalopsophosphaera umishanensis, paleamorpha, punctutta, Trematosphaeridium minutum and Leiofusa digitata, as well as typical Jixianian ele-ments. This group may be correlated with Jixian System. The Majianqiao Formation in the up-per part overlies the Shuangqiaoshan Group unconformably. This formation contains such spe-cial elements as Germinosphaera guttaformic, Laminates sp., Quadratimorpha sp. and Very-haichium sp.,which are notably different from the microflora of the Shuangqiaoshan Group. This formation is roughly equivalent to the Qingbaikou System.
