SOME PROBLEMS ON REGIONAL GEOLOGICAL SURVEYS IN GRANITE AREAS

This paper is a commentary on geological surveys in granite areas. It is emphasized that the main task of mapping granites is to subdivide structural- ly the batholith. Among other things, the key is to study the internal con- tacts in a complex. Then the paper discusses the influence of the physical behaviours of granitic magmas on the size, shape and emplacement mechanism of granite plutons.
