VOLCANIC STRUCTURES IN THE LUJIANGCONGYANG VOLCANIC AREA AND THEIR ORE-CONTROLLING EFFECTS

    • It is of not only theoretical but also major practical significance to reconstruct paleovolcanic structures and study their relations to mineralization in areas of paleovolcanic rocks. In this paper the authors put forward the problem of the specialization of control of ore deposition by volcanic structures through a study of the Mesozoic volcanic area of Lujiang-Congyang. It is considered that craters, calderas, explosion breccia masses and volcanic domes are the important orecontrolling volcanic structures in the area. They respectively control alunite and anhydrite which are of different genetic types. In this paper the authors also briefly describe the types of volcanic structures and ore-forming features of some types related to mineralization.
