LATERAL EXTRUSION TECTONICS WITH RESTRICTED BOUNDARIES ON THE WESTERN MARGIN OF THE ORDOS BASIN

A new tectonic model is proposed on the basis of studies of the Jurassic deformation styles and combination pattern of various tectonic zones on the western margin of the Ordos basin and its adjacent areas,that is the lateral extrusion tectonics with restricted boundaries.The authors describe the architecture and composition of such tectonics,direction of material movement and dynamic process of this kind of tectonics and reveal the formation mechanism and genetic relation of various tectonic belts and basins in the study area.
