THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CRETACEOUS-TERTIARY LANLONG AND BAIHUATING FORMATIONS IN HUNAN

Through a study of the Cretaceous-Tertiary lighostratigraphic sequences in Hunan , the Lanlong and Baihuat-ing formations have been established. This paper describes the lighologic and lithofacies features of the two forma-tions and their distribution. Their ages may be early Late Cretaceous and Late Cretaceous-Paleocene.
