ON TECTONIC FACIES, TECTONIC FACIES SERIES AND TECTONIC FACIES SEQUENCE

The systematic concept concerning the tectonic facies, tectonic facies series and tectonid facies sequence is an idea which attempts to combine closely the regularities of structural and composittional adjustments of the crustal material under tectonic dynamics in terms of space, time and evolution. So, some indicators of facies are determined here according to the features of structural adjustment and the traces of composional adjustment of the crustal material. The next step is to define the tectonic facies series, which refers to the spatial combination and relationship of the tectonic facies caused by a unifo rmstress field and the same tectonic event. Then the tectonic facies sepunce is defined, which reflects, in terms of time and evolution, the regularity of superimposing and interfering of defferent tectonic facies series nseries in the same area.
