BALANCED SECTIONS IN THE XUZHOU SUZHOU AREA

In light of an analysis of three tectonic balanced sections across the Xuzhou Suzhou area,the authors have got a new understanding of the fine structure and deep structure of the nappe in the area and confirmed the common existence of step reversed faults and their related folds.A study of the reconstructed sections indicates a shortening rate in the range of 40.5% to 62.4%,showing that the deformation of the nappe in the study area is obviously characterized by crustal shortening and thickening.
