One test and practice case of geological mapping in the shallow coverage of forests and marshes: The Wangfeng Sheet of the 1: 50 000 mapping in Heilongjiang Province

    • Previous regional geological survey was subjected to the restriction of the natural conditions in coverage area, so it was difficult to acquire geological information, and greatly hindered the basic geological research and ore prospecting. Therefore, the geological mapping technology of coverage area should be changed to the integration of multi-disciplines and multi-methods, so as to improve the information carrying capacity and diversified service capacity of geological mapping in coverage area. The Wangfeng Commune sheet of 1:50 000 mapping in Heilongjiang Province was selected to explore the mapping methods in the shallow coverage area of forest and swamp.By presenting the inversion and interpretation of multi-source data of soil, aeromagnetic and remote sensing, the geochemical- magnetic-remote sensing data units were divided, and the boundaries of geological bodies, major faults and ring structures were determined by combining with geological survey verification. The shallow drlling and energy dispersive X fluorescence analysis were conducted to reduce the ecological disturbance and improve the mapping efficiency and acquisition of geological information. The validity of the method shows that the comprehensive inversion and interpretation of multi-source data can provide important geological information, and the technical methods explored in this study can provide significant reference for geological mapping in shallow coverage area of forest and swamp.
