Abstract
The vanadium resource belongs to one of the unidentified and extremely deficient mineral species in Qinghai Province. The Dagangou black rock series type vanadium ore deposit discovered in recent years has changed this history. The host rocks of the Dagangou deposit mainly include argillic, calc and carbonaceous slates, siliceous rocks and limestone. The main mineral is vanadium-bearing mica, accounting for 67.16%.Vanadium content in iron oxide mineral and kaolin is 27.36%.The ore minerals consist of quartz, clay mineral, carbonaceous, pyrite, etc., with vanadium existent in the form of clay minerals and carbonaceous adsorption.Direct acid leaching process showed that, under the condition of leaching temperature of 90℃, the grade of V2O5 was 0.7% and 0.3%, the leaching rate of vanadium was 88.84% and 91.62%, and hence the mining prospect is favorable.Black rocks are widely distributed in this region.Five metallogenic potential areas were preliminarily delineated, and the exploration and research on vanadium deposits in Qinghai Province are expected to be further promoted.
