Experiment on revealing the regional metallogenic structure based on the aeromagnetic data in southern Da Hinggan Mountains

    • The Da Hinggan Mountains is one of the very important metallogenic belts in China in that it has the condition of largescale mineralization and prospecting potential. The thorough study of the large faults, sub-faults and basement structure system of southern Da Hinggan Mountains is an important step for probing into the control of the tectono-magmatic rocks and mineralization in this area. In this paper the authors conducted the processing and interpretation of the aeromagnetic data obtained from southern Da Hinggan Mountains. The authors found the deep great faults in NE, EW, NNE and NW directions, which indicate the deep basement structure characteristics of this area. The authors ascertained the locations of volcanic mechanisms, and analyzed the regional geological-structural characteristics of the Da Hinggan Mountains. The authors revealed the positive magnetic anomalies and anomaly gradient belts distributed in linear and plane shapes, which indicate the activities of magmatic rocks. The favorable areas of metallic mineralization were also investigated. This study provides some basic information for the further research on regional geology, structural characteristics and mineral resources prospecting in southern Da Hinggan Mountains.
