Abstract
The Kuzigongsu Formation (J3k) of Sareke copper-bearing basin is a type of sedimentary facies of complex alluvial fans and is an important ore-hosting bed. Researches on features of Kuzigongsu Formation complex alluvial fans in both vertical and plane directions and 3 middle-term cycles were conducted by analysis of individual drilling sedimentary facies, section sedimentary facies and plane sedimentary facies on the basis of abundant data obtained from 24 drill holes and 10 outcrop profiles. Guided by the high resolution sequence stratigraphy theory, The authors divided Kuzigongsu Formation into 3 middle-term cycles and several short-term cycles in the vertical direction. In 3 middle-term cycles, plane development modes of sedimentary facies are different. Features of copper orebody and copper mineralization are evident in the vertical and planar direction.
