Prospecting potential analysis of the Huangyangling-Wolonggang antimony metallogenic belt in Minfeng County, Xinjiang

    • The Huangyangling-Wolonggang antimony metallogenic belt in Minfeng County of Xinjiang is located in the west of Kunlun Mountains, about 300km away from Minfeng County, where the average elevation is 5300m, being a very cold region which lacks oxygen and human beings. There have been found a total of eleven antimony deposits (ore spots) in this belt, such as the Xiaoerkule large antimony deposit, the Wolonggang medium-sized antimony deposit and the Huangyangling small antimony deposit. The belt is the antimony resources potential area which has the highest work degree in West Kunlun Mountains and is expected to have the potential of more than 2 million tons of antimony resources.
