    The construction and application of Institutional Repository System based on DSpace for digital geological data

    • To tackle the difficulties in geological data sharing under the situation that the digital data is becoming increasingly popular in China, this paper proposes a platform of Institutional Repository of digital geological data. This system is based on DSpace which is an open-source Institutional Repository project. This paper focuses on the improvements of the user registration, authority management and workflow modules. In this way, it improves the efficiency and flexibility of geological data sharing between different agencies. The platform of Institutional Repository of digital geological data is being used by National Geological Archives of China,thus taking a positive step in seeking data service of National Geological Archives of China.
