Abstract
The sporo-pollen fossils of Dicheiropollis were found from Esima area in southern Qiangtang Basin, Tibet. According to the emergence of the sporo-pollen fossils and a large number of Classopollis combinational features, the age of the strata can be assigned to Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous. This discovery has important significance in that it not only provides evidence for the existence of Early Cretaceous strata in southern Qiangtang Basin but also offers clues to further geological work.
