  • Data generated in geoanalysis are important basis of geological researches and mineral resources and geological environment evaluations, and also constitute an important technical support of land geological survey and earth sciences. China′s geology has been unprecedentedly developed, the quantity of literature on geoanalysis has rapidly increased, and hence an urgent task is to search, coordinate and analyze the literature. In order to investigate the current application status of geoanalysis technology in various fields, this paper provided a review of commentary papers on geoanalysis application in the past 20 years The main content includes ten aspects of development trend in the analytical field, i.e., reference materials and reference method, rock and mineral analysis, geochemical exploration (regional geochemistry, multi-goal geochemistry and eco-geochemical survey), geochemical mapping sample analysis, marine geological sample analysis, in-situ analysis, precious metals analysis, chemical phase and element speciation analysis, water analysis, energy and mineral resources samples analysis, environmental sample analysis, technology and application of stable isotope and geochronology. The development trend, progress and prospects of these application fields in China are described.
