New domain of Upper Paleozoic hydrocarbon exploration in “Large North” of China

Structure of ore field refers to the combined factors of geological structure which control the ore deposit formation and distribution within the scope of ore field. In the meaning of ore field structure and deposit tectonic, structural feature and rock fabric characteristics are included, as well as the formation mechanism and development history of ore-controlling structure. In recent ten years ,ore field study not only simply emphasize the control action of the tectonics for the shape, distribution and combination of ore body, but also go deep into studying on the tectonism for the process of diagenesis and mineralization. This paper synthetically analyzes the research history, research content, present situation and problems of ore field structure study. Moreover, it prospects the ore field structure and development direction in ore prospecting research.
