Evolution of tectonic stress field in southwestern Wuyishan Mountain area and relationship with mineralization

    • The southwestern Wuyishan mountain and its adjacent area is located in the junction between Tethyan and Pacific domains, where tectonic evolutions of multiple phases with special tectonic stress field have been taken place since Proterozoic. According to measuring the main paleo-stress value of different tectonic movement and numeric modeling tectonic stress field controlled by three phase-tectonic movements, it is indicated that plaeo-stress appears increasing intention from early to late. During Mesozoic, the strength of paleo-stress reached highest level and lasted long period compared with other tectonic stages. The most important stages are related to regional extensional tectonic stress field. The tectonic stress field numeric modeling with different stages suggests that, the main direction of tectonic belts is from EW-NEE to NE-NNE, corresponding to the changes of main tectonic stress fields from Devonian to Yanshanian. The distribution of tectonic stress in different stages is favorable to geological condition to mineralization.
