    • It's possible to encounter some geohazards during the consctruction of civil linear engineering project, so it's quite important to have a thorough understanding for its damage, features and prevention measures. This paper gives a sample of geological background and geohazard problems analysis of the PCCP pipeline project in beijing area as a part of South-to-North water diversion. It aims to analyze hazard distribution and development characteristics of pipeline construction, and also introduces the geohazard types and how to control geohazards including landslip, special groundwork treatment, ground depression and so on during actual construction. The authors also go into how to analyze and control geohazard in line shape engineering project.
