Preliminary study on methods of geo-environment monitoring in minesites using remote sensing technique

    • Driven by the nation's needs to monitor geo-environment in minesites in China, the monitoring methods using remote sensing technique are presented for four different objectives of monitoring and comprehensive assessment: monitoring on geo-environment in important clustered minesites area, hazardous evaluation of landslides in mining area, feasibility study on land reclamation in mining area, and monitoring and safety evaluation on tailing ponds. These methods not only provides new technical approaches for monitoring on geo-environment in minesites, but also can improve the efficiency of monitoring and supervision work in China and the role of remote sensing technique in geo-environment monitoring.
