The North Lancangjiang suture: the boundary between Gondwana and Yangtze?

It is a significant issue that where is the boundary of Gondwana and Yangtze plate in eastern Tibet. In this paper, based on previous research achievements, we reviewed all the aspects including basement rocks, Paleozoic sedimentary formation, stratigraphy and paleontology, volcanic magmatic arc, metamorphic rocks, high pressure metamorphic belt, Jitang Group, Youxi Group and multi-phase tectonic activities. Our conclusion is that North Lancangjiang suture zone should be a connection point between South Lancangjiang suture in eastern Yunnan and Longmucuo-Shuanghu suture zone. However, we still need to verify it through further research work.
