    • This paper had given a further discussion on the scientific value of granite geology and landform of the Sanqingshan World Natural Heritage Site and its surrounding areas, and put forward that Yanshanian granites in the Huaiyushan scenic spot can be categorized into three patterns, namely: Yangtze-pattern, Nanling-pattern, and coastal-pattern; four types: Tongchang-type, Yinshan-type, Sanqingshan-type and Lingshan-type, which respectively have the unique specialty of metallogenesis and building-landscape. Sanqingshan granite with well-preserved original state was formed in the last stage of intracontinental orogeny, being a typical representative originated from the evolution of Nanling-type granite to the last stage. Sanqingshan granite landform is characterized by the typical aqueo-peak forest landform ranging from youthful to early-mature, featured by the pinnacle, stone pillar, stone cone and stone sprout. The Sanqingshan-type granite peak forest landform is the best coupling product which resulted from such factors as the differentiation weathering of young ultra-acid rock, rock body and wall rock, well-developed joints, abundant rain water, and controlled by the further slowly uplifting “triangular block” and “uplift on uplift” block structure under the background of Mesozoic regional structural uprising.
