  • The difficulties and problems of Landslide risk assessment have always been hot discussion and research issues in domestic and foreign scholars. At present, the developed countries and Hong Kong developed landslide risk assessment and management guidelines or standards ,and provided examples for the implementation of these guidelines or standards by case studies . However, difficulties for carrying out landslide risk assessment in practice mainly focused on how to acquire appropriate data, methods or models differ from practice, lack of standards and guidelines, as well as verification and inspection of the risk assessment results. This paper states and discusses the following 4 aspects: data acquisition and update, models and mapping methods, standards and technical methodologies, results validation and inspection and corresponding countermeasures as well, aim to promote and facilitate the implementation of domestic geohazards risk management guidelines.
