Mineralization characteristics of iron-polymetallic deposits in Sijiaoyang area, East Mt.Kunlun, Qinghai Province, China

    • Iron-polymetallic deposits in Sijiaoyang area is hosted within the contact zone between its mother rock and upper Corboniferous Diaosu Group corbonate rocks. Ore-bearing rocks belong to skarns formed of thermal metamorphism cause. 45 hidden orebodies have been delinated within this area with various ore types. What’s more, it’s indicated that mineralization can be divided into two phases. Earlier phase is dominated by magnetite, phyrrhotite, pyrite and chalcopyrite, while the later one is dominated by sphalerite, galena and pyrite portfolio.
