An analysis of the danger influence factors of geohazard risk assessments in typical stick loess regions in China

    • Stratigraphy and lithology, rock and soil mass textures and their engineering geological features afford a material basis for geohazards in loess regions. The topographic and landform factors such as the pattern, gradient, height and terraces of loess slopes are the boundary conditions for geohazards. Human activity and raining are the triggered factors to induce geological hazards. Human engineering activities and precipitation provide the triggering conditions of geohazards in loess regions. The topography and landforms of loess, stratigraphy and lithology, rock and soil textures and their engineering geological features and hydrogeological conditions are the internal factors for the formation of geological hazards in stick loess regions, and precipitation and human activities are the inducing factors.
