Lithologic stratum characteristics of the Jiayashan-Beichang profile of the superlarge Jinding Pb-Zn deposit in the Lanping basin, northwestern Yunnan, China

    • Lithologic stratum characteristics of the Jiayashan-Beichang profile of superlarge Jinding Pb-Zn deposit were described in this article. There are two lithologic series, normal and abnormal sedimentary rock. They consist of separately linen dolomitic limestone、black cryptite、dark brey marl、varicolored muddy argillaceous siltstoue、laterite siltstoue、red gypsum- karst breccia and light grey calcareous sandstone、dark brown limestone-breccia、varicolored collapsed-breccia. Normal sedimentary rock of dark brown limestone-breccia and light grey calcareous sandstone locate the center; abnormal sedimentary rock of linen dolomitic limestone、black cryptite、varicolored muddy argillaceous siltstone、dark brey marl and red gypsum- karst breccia located around it. The main ore types consist of dark brown limestone-breccia and light grey calcareous sandstone, and they are paragenetic relationship spatial. Vertical limestone-breccia located below horizontal calcareous sandstone, and formed typical “mushroom” shape. Lithologic stratum characteristics of the Jiayashan-Beichang profile show muddy diapire mechanism for Jinding Pb-Zn deposit, and it provides new clue to mineral exploration and search for Jinding-type deposite peripheral district.
