Application of the analytic hierarchy process in the evaluation of land quality of Guangna Town, Tongjiang County, Sichuan, China

    • The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was used to perform a quality evaluation of the land at Guangna Town, Tongjiang County, Bazhong City, Sichuan Province. Main factors which may influence various indices were analyzed and various hierarchy models and quality index mathematic models were constructed. Thus the geochemical comprehensive indices were obtained and used to evaluate land quality in the study area. On that basis, the authors selected suitable evaluation indices, compared the differences in influences of the various selected indices on the final results of land quality evaluation and explored the selection of the index sets. The evaluation results indicate that the land quality is better at Fojushan Village but worse at Gaokengba Village.
