    Land quality evaluation in China: present status and prospect

    • Land quality evaluation is a very systematic job. At present, the evaluation of land suitability and land use is mainly carried out and the evaluation of sustainable land use has become popular. The evaluation indicator system has been improved steadily. There are many evaluation methods, and the common ones are the APH, fuzzy synthetic evaluation, sum of weights index and neural network model. The combination of these methods with GIS is a significant feature of land quality evaluation. In future, the systematization and concretization of evaluation indicators and informationization of data processing and management will be the development trend of land quality evaluation.
