Urban geological work-A new area of national geological work

Urban geological work is a new area of geological work which ha s drawn wide attention in re-cent years.In order to supply reference for Chin a's urban geological work,this paper gives a general ac-count of the develop ment process,characteristic and techniques(or methods)of foreign urban geo logical work.The present state of urban geological work in the United States ,Canada,Britain and Germany is also reviewed in the paper.
