Restudy of the crinoids Traumatocrinus of the Guanling biota,Guizhou

Late Triassic crinoid fossils collected recently from Guanling County,Guizhou,were restudied based on previous studies.The authors affirmed the validity of Traumatocrinus and considered according to the available data that only one species,Traumatocrinus hsui ,is valid.According to the taphonomic fea-tures of the fossils,the authors believe that the juvenile Traumatocrinus hsui lived a pseudoplanktonic life.Whether the adults could adapt themselves to the benthic environment remains to be further proved.
