    THE BASIC CHARACTERISTICS, FORMATION MECHANISM AND ORE-CONTROLLING ROLE OF THE MAIN NAPPE STRUCTURES IN JIANGXI PROVINCE

    • Gentle-dipping faults and nappe structures are widely developed in different tectonic units in various areas of Jiangxi. According to the dynamic source or driving force for forming them, they may fall into the compression type and gravity type. The former mainlyinoludes nappe struetures in Yifeng-Xishan of Xinjian, Qibaoshan of Shanggao and Daqiao of Xinfeng. The latter mainly comprises nappe structures in Jiesnan of Xinyu, Yangqiao of Fengi, Guixi and Anfu, study of nappe structures is of important practical sigaificance and economic value in discovery of energy resources(petroleum and coal), evaluation of mineral deposits(coal and metal deposits)and engineering guidance.
