Abstract

The paper describes the Lower Carboniferous ostracodes in the Tarim basin. These fossils were mainly collected from a well drilled in the Yangbaixi Formation above the Shuangfeng limestone in the Tarim basin and include three assemblages from top to bottom: （1） Paraparchites Microcheilinella Bairdia; （2） Paracarboprimitia Cavcllina; and （3） Hcaldianclla Bythocypris. Their ages are mid late Early Carboniferous.
