THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE EARLY PERMIAN TONGLINGGOU FORMATION IN THE VICTINITY OF JINTANG,KANGDING,SICHUAN

There occur Early Permian strata in the vicinity of Jingtang, Kangding, Sichuan. Predecessors measured the Shilama and Yeniugou sections at Jintang,Kangding. Through sorting stratigraphic units,it has been found that the strata have an intact top and bottom, clear stratigraphic succession and contact relationships, relatively abundant fossils and distinct lithologic features and are different from the “Dongdahe Formation”and “Sandaoqiao Formation”in the Jinchuan area,so are provided with the conditions for eatablishing a lithostratigraphic unit. Thus the author eatablishes a new formation named the Tonglinggou Formation in the area. This paper describes the stratotype section of the Tonglinggou section.
